8 New Blogs You Need to Read

I have a very spe­cial post for you today! I have com­plied a list of 8 blogs you need to be read­ing — curat­ed just for you 🙂

Back­ground: As co-host of FIRE Drill Pod­cast, I talk to a lot of awe­some peo­ple doing some pret­ty cool things with their time and mon­ey. Our lis­ten­ers want to get in on some of these cool things, but don’t know where to start. So, J and I start­ed run­ning 6 week Mas­ter­mind groups where we all learn how to do some­thing togeth­er. So far, we’ve run a few Etsy Dig­i­tal Down­load groups, an Etsy Print-on-Demand group, and a Blog­ging group. We guid­ed 8 peo­ple on their jour­ney to cre­ate some amaz­ing blogs.

Kristyn has been a Kon­mari Con­sul­tant in Chica­go for 2 years. She want­ed to take the blog for her busi­ness to the next lev­el and she suc­ceed­ed! I think what their team is doing is super impor­tant and I’m glad we were able to help her get her blog tidied up. (ha!)

Cooking for FIRE

Emi­ly is a 32 year old striv­ing to achieve Finan­cial Inde­pen­dence through her love of being a self taught home cook and shar­ing time sav­ing and fru­gal recipes with the com­mu­ni­ty. As some­one whose lev­el of cook­ing is lim­it­ed to “skill­ful enough to not die”, I’m real­ly look­ing for­ward to see­ing what recipes Emi­ly shares next. She’s got a recipe for arti­san bread that made my gluten-free mouth drool with longing.

Debt Free Happens  

Kevin and his wife Erin have a tru­ly incred­i­ble debt pay­off sto­ry. They paid off over $100k in debt in just over 2 years! They are now blog­ging to share their sto­ry and help oth­ers pay down their debt. Kevin says, “In 2017 we start­ed Debt Free Hap­pens to inspire and moti­vate oth­ers to help them get out of debt and jump­start their finan­cial suc­cess.  We believe that you too can be suc­cess­ful with your finances.  We will both share what we’ve learned and the lessons we are con­tin­u­ing to learn every day.

Nosh and Nest

Nic­hole is a super crafty lady who loves DIY, dec­o­rat­ing, bak­ing, and orga­niz­ing. She set up her blog to share these inter­ests with you! As some­one who isn’t par­tic­u­lar­ly great at dec­o­rat­ing.…. bak­ing.….. or orga­niz­ing, I need more of what Nic­hole has to offer. From recipes for the CUTEST apple cup­cakes to how to set up a col­lage-style gallery wall (mine always end up look­ing lop­sided), she’s got it all!

Flip the Fail

Elle might be the most pro­lif­ic blog­ger I have ever met. Dur­ing the Mas­ter­mind course she opti­mized her blog and post­ed over 20 arti­cles of amaz­ing con­tent on how to man­age your mon­ey, health and fam­i­ly for opti­mal liv­ing! 20 posts! Incred­i­ble!! She’s doc­u­ment­ing her path to mil­lion­aire sta­tus, improv­ing her health and shar­ing her mis­takes along the way so we can all learn togeth­er, which is the kind of learn­ing I love to do best. She also offers a free 7 day course on how to start tak­ing action and turn your life around!

Hearts Are Mountains

Mon­i­ca runs a blog that I’m deem­ing a trav­el adven­ture blog. She loves to trav­el and do awe­some hikes/runs in the moun­tains. As some­one who lives in the flat land, I use her blog to pre­tend I do cool things like hik­ing moun­tain trails and oth­er out­door adven­tures. She posts great pic­tures from vis­tas in the moun­tains that make you feel like you did the hike with her! (minus the burn­ing legs and oxy­gen depri­va­tion, of course)

Our Successful Life

This blog­ger is anony­mous, but I can say he is an incred­i­bly deep thinker and had a lot to offer the group mem­bers dur­ing the Mas­ter­mind. He is very thought­ful and has a lot going on in his head, so I’m pret­ty excit­ed to see what else he has to share with the world!

Finance Your Dreams

Last but cer­tain­ly not least is Fred. He cre­at­ed his blog to help oth­ers get out of debt and start work­ing on achiev­ing their dreams. He cov­ers a wide vari­ety of finance top­ics, so even if you don’t have debt you can still learn a lit­tle some­thin’ somethin’.

Final Thoughts

I am SO PROUD of all their hard work on their blogs. We packed a lot of work and learn­ing into 7 weeks, so cre­at­ing these blogs was tru­ly a labor of love and ded­i­ca­tion. My hat is off to them! By par­tic­i­pat­ing in this Mas­ter­mind, they basi­cal­ly crammed the first full year of learn­ing and growth in less than 2 months. I loved being able to help answer their ques­tions and see the look of frus­tra­tion turn into a look of won­der as they fig­ured out a par­tic­u­lar­ly knot­ty prob­lem. Start­ing a blog can be one of the hard­est things on the Inter­net to do and all 8 of them rocked it. Well done friends!
